It all started when I decided to have a new fursuit head, and wanting to support a friend who was starting up in this craft I decided to commission them. Through this project I learned more about the craft and heard their issues with having to carve out the interior of the head, wasting at least two hours on that alone.

Taking this into account, I took the occasion to learn foam casting with an experienced crafter. I then took what I learned and developed molds with an insert that makes the resulting cast hollow, making a practical and valuable base worth sharing with other makers.
